What’s included in an MOT?

For vehicles that come within the MOT scheme, testing is mandatory every year after the vehicle is 3 years old. This test features dozen of checks to ensure that the vehicle meets the safety and environmental standards set by the government. Once the test is complete we will be able to advise you of any major faults preventing your vehicle from being deemed roadworthy. We will also be able to advise on any minor issues that will need addressing in the future Of course, we will not conduct any work without your permission has provided you with a quote. The MOT can only be conducted at an authorised garage by a certified tester.

How early can you have an MOT?

Your MOT certificate is valid for one year, meaning you have exactly one year from your last test until the next one is due. However, you can MOT your vehicle up to a month (minus a day) before it runs out.
